The Easter season and Holy Week bring up so many topics and questions, from the silly (like the Easter bunny and whether PEEPS qualify as good candy) to the serious. So, instead of focusing on any one area, we’re doing our first ever “grab bag” podcast, where we dive into all things Easter, including the historicity of the resurrection, the background on the stations of the cross, the concept of heaven and our physical resurrection, and how to make the most out of Holy Week.

Christianity is grounded in a historical event. If the resurrection happened, it changes everything. Click To Tweet

Having sold over 500 million copies in 80 different languages over the past 20 years, it’s clear J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter has connected with people in profound ways. Good stories have the ability to resonate with us long after we’ve heard them. Join Greg and Eric as they dive into why they think Harry inspired so many, including new generations of readers, adults, and many Christ-followers. Could it be there are parts of this story that connect us to a grander story?

Stories can help us think profoundly about faith. They can clue us into the grander story we find ourselves in. Click To Tweet

Often, the biggest ways God winds up using us to make a difference come about in surprising, seemingly small, and even unexpected ways. Blake and Ally Bergstrom share the story of how their nonprofit, Gifted.Global, came about. It wasn’t because of some big, bold plan. It was the result of a certain type of perspective and openness. Come hear about their experience in this second part of our conversation on how to make a difference in a world full of need.

We need to learn to be powerfully present. If we want to make a difference, there are probably little forks in the road every day where we have the opportunity to engage and to say yes if we’re open to it. Click To Tweet

A recent survey revealed that 90% of young people today think a main identifier of Christianity is that it is anti-homosexual. For people in the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) community, they wrestle with reconciling a message about a loving God with a feeling of rejection from the church. Join Greg, Eric, and their good friend, Paul Martel, as they dive into the complex topic of sexual identity and explore the unique stories, struggles, and challenges of same-sex attracted Christ-followers as well as the church’s role in loving the LGBTQ community well.

All theology is personal. We need to wrestle with theology, particularly around sexuality, in terms of real people with real stories who want to love God well. Click To Tweet

Does the presence of doubt mean we don’t have faith? Should we expect doubt in our faith journey, or should we expect that the more we grow, the less we’ll doubt? Doubt can be disconcerting, but it doesn’t need to be defeating. Join Greg and Eric as they wrestle with what to do when questions or challenging circumstances arise on the faith journey.

Doubt has the power to derail everything. It also has the power to strengthen our faith, depending on how we respond to it. Click To Tweet
